Hello, again! I have now graduated SCAD and am off into the wide world at a . . . slow start! But, I'm sure I'll get up to speed soon and find somewhere to work and somewhere to show my work! I completed my Senior project! It's all on my Deviantart page. I haven't been able to get a big enough scanner to scan the final inks, so it's mostly pencils up there. :( It was also my twenty-third birthday on the fourth of September. Hurray!
Blogger sucks. I had to retype my entire blog again because for some reason I can't access it. So, I have come back to, Oh, Xanga. I hope you forgive me for straying.
Anywho, here's what I've been doing. I'm working on senior project right now. Here's my past entries pertaining to those things:
Working!
Hey, 'tis me again! I'm working on my senior project and I'm on a roll! Wheee! To the right is one of my concept sketches for a scene in the short comic I am doing for senior project! I'm basing loosely on an old fairy tale I read a long time ago. That's all for tonight . . . well, today, technically. Oh, I also made my first internet friend today, well, technically yesterday :). I've never made friends with someone I've never seen before . . . It's interesting. It's a guy so, even though he seems reaallly nice, I'm going to be extra on-guard, just in case! It's like having a pen pal, all I have is a picture. A very nice picture, too! ;)
This picture above is the first page of my senior project.

I know it's been awhile but, I'm back . . . to rant!
I'm doing a research paper on Frederic Leighton and in the process I came across a painting, "Electra at the Tomb of Agamemnon" and I said to myself, "Gosh, this looks so familiar, and yet, I know I have never seen it before . . ." Then, I remembered where I saw something like it: The cover art for the book, "The Red Tent" by Anita Diamat. I thought that perhaps this was by Leighton and he reused the pose from "Electra" like many artists do. So, I tried looking up the artist's name . . . couldn't find it. I looked up one of the "look inside(s)" at Amazon.com, no cover credit. So, then I looked up "Electra" and compared it to the "Red Tent" cover: Freakin' cut and paste with superficial changes such as changing the color of the robe, putting in a different backround and adding a bracelet or two. Grrrrr! Lazy bums!
Hi! Sorry it's been forever since I was here. I forgot about it. I'm so happy with the ending of Fruits Basket. It showed Kyo and Tohru an old married couple in the epilouge! Squee! I am re-reading some Sherlock Holmes and reading some awfully good fan fiction on Sherlock Holmes: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2291027/1/
The author's name is AerynFire and it is a series of stories. They're very good and emulate the language and the times of Victorian England very well.
Speaking of England, I loved the movie, "Amazing Grace," and with clips and trailers offered by the official website I made a short montage in tribute to the real life personages and the film. (Excuse the out of place saxaphone in the music).
